As a child and teenager, whether it was in a lip sync, talent show, or one of the several annual musicals, Billy was always performing. His love for music and the performing arts came from his mother who just happens to be his biggest fan. His childhood memories are full of running errands in the car together and belting along to Barbra Streisand and Bette Midler. He had no choice but to continue exploring his passion in undergrad.

While attending University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Billy studied under and worked alongside theater professionals, engaged in opportunities that expanded his theatrical repertoire, and was a part of several new works projects. During the Summer of 2016, he worked as an acting apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. After graduation, he pursued his acting career through various community theaters in the Boston area, as well as the Umbrella Stage Company in Concord, MA. Post-pandemic, Billy enrolled in the Atlantic Acting School’s Full Time Conservatory.

Billy's directorial debut was with a production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change during his senior year of high school. While at UMass he took part in several directing classes to build on his skills. He set a goal of directing a musical as his Honors Capstone Project. He achieved this goal by directing and producing Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater's Spring Awakening in one of the UMass Theater Department's mainstage spaces, which, as an undergraduate student, is an honor. His hard work was recognized by the UMass Theater Department Faculty by bestowing him with the Rand Scholarship, an award given to an undergraduate student who has excelled in directing and/or dramaturgy.

Billy also spends time writing musicals with his writing partner, Anthony Ferreira, a choral conductor and music educator based out of Connecticut. Billy typically focuses on the Book and Lyrics and Ferreira scores and composes all of the songs. At this moment in time, they have completed writing a post-apocalyptic full length film and have begun work on several other concepts.

His non-theater interests include baking, traveling to Disney World, finding hidden coffee and pie shops, crocheting, and sleeping. He currently lives in New York City with his husband, Jon, and their cat, Dorian.
